The Aces finished up a four game home stand that was the opposite of a pitchers duel with the Brazos Valley Bombers.

Mark Todd made his first start for the Aces as he had a rough outing and a hard time locating his pitches as he gave up seven runs over two innings as the Aces were down early. The Aces got two in the bottom of the first all with two outs as Zach Luevanos and Tid Hilger came around to score on a Kyle Feazell 2RBI single to left.

The score stayed seven two until the fourth when Justin Brodnax allowed his only run of the game in four innings pitched. The Aces answered back in the fifth with two more as Feazell scored on a Nathan Harr bases loaded walk, and Jami Rachal scored on a Kyle Raskin sac fly. The Aces added another in the sixth as Luevanos again scored on a Feazell RBI. The Aces had drawn to within three and the score was eight five.

The comeback was short lived however as the Bombers scored a run in the seventh and three in the eighth. The Aces got an RBI groundout from Ridge Gonsoulin as Rachal scored his second run of the game but it wasnt enough as the Bombers scored three more in the ninth and won fifteen six.

The Aces lost their fourth in a row falling to 7-17 on the season and the Bombers improve to 14-12. Losing pitcher for the Aces was Mark Todd as he went two innings giving up seven on six hits and five walks. Winner for the Bombers was Danny Kelley in relief who pitched two innings of one run ball.

The Aces are on the road for four games in five days as they take on the Coppell Copperheads on Friday and Saturday before heading to Kilgore Monday and Tuesday to play the league leading Pump Jacks. The Aces will be back home next Wednesday and Thursday for a two game set.

After the game on Thursday night Head Coach Mike Byrnes resigned and Assistant Freddy Rodriguez stepped up to take over all coaching responsibilities.
