Texarkana, TX – June 29, 2018 – After last night, the Bombers came in riding a wave of momentum, after the bats broke out on the road against Twins pitching. Tonight, in what was a back and forth battle between the two teams, the Bombers came out on top 8-3, after scoring 5 runs in the 8th inning. The Bombers did not start off the game well, giving up a run in the bottom of the first to trail Texarkana, 1-0. The Bombers would tie the game in the 3rd inning, on a Cam Haller home run. The Bombers would then take the lead off a Dylan Bonhert single that brought in Chase Kemp as the Bombers took a 2-1 lead. The Twins would then answer back in the 6th inning to retake the lead heading into the latter innings 3-2. The Bombers would bust out in the 8th inning, scoring 5 runs in the inning and taking the lead that the Twins would not overcome. Cam Haller drilled his second home run of the game to give the Bombers a 3-2 lead. A balk would score the Bombers 5th run of the game, and then Chase Kemp drove in a pair to give the Bombers a 7-3. Danny Mitchell would round out the scoring, driving in Cam Haller on a double to give us our final score of 8-3. The Bombers head back home tomorrow for a two-game series against the Texas Marshals where the Bombers will celebrate Independence Day early with a fireworks show.
