Bryan/College Station, TX – July 8, 2018 – Bombers returned to the win column at home, defeating the Texarkana Twins by a score of 7-3 in front of the home crowd at Travis Field. The game was back and forth in the early innings, before the Bombers blew the game open in the 5th inning. The Bombers fell behind in the 3rd inning after the Twins tallied a run on the scoreboard to take an early 1-0 lead. The Bombers would then take the lead in the 4th inning, answering with two runs on a Robin Adames double and an Alex Nielsen sac fly to make the score 2-1 in favor of the Bombers. The Twins would then respond with a run in the top half of the 5th to tie the score at 2. The Bombers bats exploded in the fifth inning, scoring 5 runs to flip the script on Texarkana. Cole Coker began the scoring with a RBI single to score Cam Haller. Celebrating his 21st birthday, Robin Adames then drove in another Bombers run with a RBI single. Christian Sepulveda followed that up by crushing a three run home run that gave the Bombers a 7-2 lead. The Twins would add a run in the 6th, to close the gap to the final score of 7-3. The Bombers return to Travis Field tomorrow to finish the series against the Twins before having a day off on Tuesday.
