Coppell starters Jacob Ramos and James Russell allowed only two runs in 11 innings as the Copperheads swept a doubleheader from Graham by scored of 2-1 and 4-1 on Thursday at the Snakepit.
Ramos (1-0) went all seven innings in the opener, allowing five hits and striking out four. Keanon Simon�s homer to lead off the game was the last time Graham scored.
John Infante�s double in the bottom of the seventh scored Bryan Herrera with the game-winner.
In the nightcap, Russell (1-0) allowed one unearned run in four innings, striking out four.
Damon Sublett, Trey Adams and Trey Stewart drove home runs in the first inning. The game was called because of lightning after 4 � innings.
McKinney 4, Denton 3: At McKinney, Scott Gaffney drove in the go-ahead run in the seventh inning and recorded the save as the Marshals won at Gabe Nesbitt Field.
Trey Rachal launched solo homers in the third and eighth innings for McKinney. Louie Alamia and C.J. Ebarb had three hits apiece.
The Outlaws scored once in the top of the ninth off Brenden Lafferty (1-0), but Gaffney got the final three outs, leaving the tying run on second base.
Brian Spear was 4-for-5, while Andrew Brown had three hits, including a home run for Denton.
Euless 5, Weatherford 1: At Weatherford, Charlie Mellies struck out eight and allowed only two hits in six innings in the LoneStars� win.
Mellies (3-2) was staked to a 5-0 lead after four innings. He walked just one batter. Offensively, Tyler Henley had three hits and Isaias Garcia drove in two runs.
Clint Arnold and Travis Reagan had two hits apiece for the Wranglers.
Mineral Wells� game at Highland Park was suspended in the second inning by lightning. It will be resumed at 7:15 p.m. on Monday, July 18 at Scotland Yard.
