The Texas Collegiate League announced Wednesday the rosters for the second annual Dr Pepper Futures Game, which will be played this coming Sunday, July 24 at Ameriquest Field in Arlington.
The Futures Game will begin approximately 45 minutes following the conclusion of the Texas Rangers game with the Oakland A�s, which is a 1:05 p.m. start. The Futures Game will be broadcast live by Fox Sports Net Southwest.
The Dr Pepper Futures Game will feature 50 of the Texas Collegiate League�s top prospects as selected by scouts from Major League Baseball�s organizations. The Gray and White Teams will consist of 25 players each: 12 pitchers, 2 catchers, 6 infielders, and 5 outfielders.
The Coppell Copperheads and Denton Outlaws each have ten players on the Futures rosters. The Weatherford Wranglers will have eight representatives, followed by the McKinney Marshals (6), Mineral Wells Steam (5), Euless LoneStars and Highland Park Blue Sox (4 each), and Graham Roughnecks (3).
The teams will be managed by a pair of former major league pitchers. Todd Van Poppell, who is part of the ownership group for the Denton Outlaws, will guide the Gray Team, and Mike Henneman, President of the McKinney Marshals, will coach the White Team.

STEVE ROBISON AND EDDIE DEGERMAN EARN D-BAT TCL WEEKLY AWARDS
Outfielder Steve Robison of the Euless LoneStars and righthander Eddie Degerman of the Denton Outlaws are the recipients of the D-Bat Texas Collegiate League Player and Pitcher of the Week Awards, respectively for July 11-17, it was announced Wednesday by the league office.
Robison, who will enter his junior year at the University of Arkansas, batted .353 (6-17) with four runs, a homer, and two rbi for the LoneStars last week. Degerman earned the honor with a 5-0 victory over Coppell on July 13. He issued three hits and no runs in seven innings while tying the TCL individual game record with 13 strikeouts. Degerman completed his junior year at Rice University this spring.
