The Victoria Generals snuck by the Alexandria Aces tonight by a final score of 3-2.  Ryan Turner was brought on for the Generals in relief of starter Jared Hopper in the bottom of the sixth inning with a 2-1 lead.  Turner allowed one run on a wild pitch in the seventh, but threw up three straight scoreless innings after that to hold off the Aces and pick up the win.  The Generals were able to manufacture a run on a wild pitch in the top of the eighth inning which turned out to be the winning run.  Mark Hudson led the General’s offense going 4-for-5 at the plate with an RBI.  The Generals remain in second place in the TCL with a record of 9-6..  The Aces fell to 4-10.  These same two teams will meet again tomorrow night in Alexandria for the second game of the three-game series starting at 7:05pm.
