In the new year, Victoria has a new team… and now a new look.

The Victoria Generals, the newest entry in the Texas Collegiate League, unveiled three sets of uniforms for the 2009 campaign. The team introduced home, road, and alternate uniforms, in the official team colors of red, white, blue, and gray.

The home uniform is a white button-up with a small “Victoria” and larger “Generals” decorating the chest. A patch on the left sleeve displays the team’s secondary logo, the general character wielding a bat. The right sleeve carries the patch depicting the Texas state flag, a feature found on all three uniforms.

The road rendition is a blue button-up with “Victoria” across the chest. Like its home counterpart, the road jersey has the team’s secondary logo on the left sleeve.

The alternate uniform is a gray button-up with the Generals’ secondary logo on the left chest. That mark is replaced on the left sleeve by a patch showing the full “Victoria Generals” wordmark that is found on the home jerseys.

With the uniforms, the Generals also released the design of the team’s three official hats, all of them blue. The home hat features a stylized white “V” with red, blue and gray trim. The road cap displays an aggressive, interlocking “V” and “G”; where the two letters overlap is a star, honoring the star found on the Texas state flag. The alternate cap features the head of the team’s General character.

The Generals will wear the new uniforms for their inaugural season, which opens June 5 in Kilgore against the East Texas Pump Jacks. The team returns home for its historic home opener on June 11 against the defending champion McKinney Marshals.
