Kyle Young struck out a batter with the go-ahead run in scoring position as Euless posted a 7-6 win over Weatherford on Monday at the Parks at Texas Star. Young picked up his fifth save of the season.
Matt Lambeth had two hits and drove in a pair of runs for the LoneStars. Jason Diaz had two hits and scored three times, while Derek Myers and Tyler Weber had two hits apiece. B.J. Boening (1-2) got the win in relief.
Clint Arnold, John Ingram and Travis Reagan drove in two runs apiece for the Wranglers, which almost fought back from a 4-0 deficit.

Denton 9, Highland Park 3: At Highland Park, Denton scored six runs in the top of the seventh inning to salvage a split with Highland Park at Scotland Yard.
In the seventh, Brian McBryde�s double scored Philip Stringer to snap a tie game. Brett Lewis followed with a two-run double and Brian Spear capped the outburst with a three-run double. Corey Kluber (2-0) got the win.
Will Henderson was 2-for-2 with a homer for Highland Park.

Highland Park 6, Denton 5: At Highland Park, Lance Bina scored on a wild pitch with one out in the bottom of the seventh inning to give the Blue Sox the win.
Matt Berezay went 3-for-4 with an RBI to pace Highland Park. Casey Bond and Jarod Freeman had two hits apiece. Nick Tess (2-1) picked up the win.
Philip Stringer went 4-for-4 for Denton and Brian Spear drove in two runs in the losing effort.
