The Legends Golf Tournament and Dinner presented by Synergy Properties Group benefiting Texas Collegiate League will be held on Monday, November 20, at Texas Star Golf Course in Euless, Texas. Registration will begin at 11:30 a.m. (CST) with a shotgun start at noon. Dinner will follow the tournament at Texas Star Banquet Center. There will be foursomes with a celebrity player (3 players and one celebrity) provided for $600, while individual players’ fees are $200. The 2006 Legends Tournament and Dinner will honor University of Texas football quarterback-baseball pitcher James Street and his family. His legacy includes 2005 American League Rookie of the Year and 2002 NCAA World Series MVP pitcher Huston Street and pitchers Juston and Jordon Street, who competed for the Denton Outlaws’ Horsnby Division winning teams in the Texas Collegiate League. Other honorees at the golf outing and banquet are 2006 Player of the Year OF Aljay Davis of Denton (Oklahoma), Pitcher of the Year Randy Boone of Coppell (Texas), Freshman of the Year OF Aaron Luna of Euless (Rice), and TCL Coach of the Year Derek Matlock of Denton. The festivities both will honor the success of 2006 teams and individuals, as well as serve as an off-season celebration for a new team in the league – the Brazos Valley Bombers – and anticipation for the fourth season of TCL activity beginning in June 2007.
