Coppell, TX- The McKinney Marshals used a pair of errors from the Texas Tomcats to score four unearned runs in the sixth inning and take a 7-6 victory in their first ever home game away from home. Playing as the home team at the Coppell ISD Baseball Fields, the Marshals picked up their fifth win in six tries, and stay atop the Texas Collegiate League standings. McKinney started out the game in a four-run hole before using timely hitting and plate discipline to climb within a run through five innings. After chasing starting Texas pitching Adam Hoelscher (Texas A&M-Corpus Christi), the Marshals took the lead thanks to errors by LF Andre Rodriguez (Missouri) and relief pitcher Jason West (Stephen F. Austin).  It wasn’t just Tomcat mistakes that gave the Marshals an edge. The home team stole nine bases in nine attempts, including three by 2B Ethan Stuckly (Tarleton State), in addition to the pair of errors and a whopping 12 walks issued by the Texas pitchers. RF Boomer Collins (Nebraska) finished the night with two hits, highlighted by an RBI triple. Brock Hebert (SE Louisiana) scored two runs on two hits, and stole two bases in the losing effort.
