Jake Arietta allowed one hit over 8 innings as the Marshals advanced to the playoffs for the second consecutive year. Arietta issued a 2-out single to Matt Berezay in the 1st inning and permitted an unearned run in the 2nd before retiring 18 of the final 20 batters he faced. Jose Salazar drove in 3 runs and Brandon Glover was 2-2. Rodney Brantley issued 4 runs in 5 innings and took the loss for Highland Park, which was outscored by McKinney, 25-1 in the weekend home and home series.

Euless 14
Coppell 7
The LoneStars scored 4 times in the 8th and 8 more in the 9th to win their season finale. Euless finished at 27-21, a game behind McKinney (28-20) for the 2nd Speaker Division playoff spot. The Lone Stars fell behind 6-0, 4 of those runs being unearned, before the late rally off loser Coleman Moore. Tyler Weber went 3-5 with 3 rbi and Tyler Henley added 3 hits while pitching a scoreless 9th. Coppell starter Lucas Engle issued 2 runs in 6 innings with 10 strikeouts.

Graham 6
Weatherford 5
Chris Walsh’s single in the bottom of the 10th inning gave the Roughnecks a weekend sweep of their series with the Wranglers. The 2 teams finished with identical 20-28 records but Weatherford earned the playoff spot by virtue of a 5-3 advantage in the season series with Graham. The Roughnecks scored 4 times in the 8th to tie the game at 5-5. Weatherford starter Russell Young issued just 3 hits and a run in 7 innings. Jeremiah Shepherd took the loss with the victory going to Tyler Soeder.

Mineral Wells 6
The Outlaws scored 2 unearned runs in the top of the 9th for the come-from-behind win. Kerr Foster won in relief with Brett Lester taking the loss. Andrew Brown homered and finished as the TCL leader with 13 homers and 39 rbi. Josh Banda was 0-4 but finished with a league best .408 average. Mineral Wells starter James Halle fanned 11 in 5 innings.
