More rain spoils the Duncanville/McKinney and Mineral Wells/Denton games as they were suspended and will be made up at a later date.  Weatherford’s offense came to play as they jacked three home runs including two from Adam Hornung.WEATHERFORD 6, COLLEYVILLE 3Weatherford defeated Colleyville, 6-3, in a battle of long balls Sunday night in Colleyville as the two teams combined for five home runs. Wrangler first baseman Adam Hornung doubled his home run output for the season, blasting his third and fourth home runs in consecutive at bats. The first, in the seventh inning, brought Weatherford to within one run of the LoneStars, who lead 3-2 at that point. Hornung’s second round tripper, with Buck Britton on first, gave the Wranglers their final 6-3 margin. A run-scoring double by Joey Butler and a pinch hit single for an rbi by Chris McClendon brought home the tying and go ahead runs sandwiched between Hornung’s two home runs. Seth Hammock also had a home run for Weatherford, while Tim Hartland and Kyle Hardman sent drives over the left field fence for Colleyville.  Colleyville lefthander Evan Bronson threw six solid innings, giving up one run on two hits, and left the game leading, 3-1. The Colleyville bullpen allowed five runs in two innings, though, as Andy Reese took the loss for his first decision of the year.  Gary Poynter, 1-0, earned the win for Weatherford despite giving up three runs in six innings. Mike Monterey and Jeremy Erben combined for three shutout innings, with Erben earning his first save of the year.Weatherford improves its record to 7-5, while Colleyville falls below .500 at 6-7.COPPELL 4, WICHITA FALLS 3Coppell’s newly added Matt McGuirk had a great game tonight going 2-for-4 with a Solo-HR and two RBI to help propel the Copperheads past the Roughnecks. Coppell’s own Anthony Walsh and Austin Goolsby each had RBI of their own. As for the Roughnecks, Jason Seefeld put on a show, missing the cycle by a triple. Seefeld went 4-for-4 with a Solo-HR and 3 RBI. Tim Matthews of Coppell earned his second win of the year, and Pat McCrory finished the game off for his second save.
