Coppell�s pitching staff put together another strong effort as James Russell, Lucas Engle and Joseph Krebs limited Euless to five hits as the Copperheads became the Texas Collegiate League�s only unbeaten team with a 7-2 victory on Wednesday at The Parks at Texas Star in Euless.
Coppell (2-0) has allowed only four runs in 20 innings. Offensively, Adam Moore went 3-for-3 with a home run and two RBIs. Anthony Jackson and Chris Williams keyed a three-run second inning with RBI singles. Russell picked up the win, leaving with a 6-0 cushion after pitching six scoreless innings, allowing three hits.
Keith Stein had two hits and Drew Jeffcoat added a solo home run in the ninth inning for Euless (1-1).

Weatherford 5, Denton 4: At Roger Williams Park in Weatherford, Roberto Mena�s three-run homer was the big blow as the Wranglers erupted for four unearned runs with two outs in the seventh inning.
Weatherford (3-1), which won its third in a row, had only four hits.
Thomas Sawyer�s RBI singled gave Denton a 2-1 lead in the top of the seventh. Reed Lesueur had two hits for the Outlaws (1-1).
Kyle Nicholson picked up the win in relief. He induced a key double play with the bases loaded in the eighth inning. Hart Hering struck out Casey Guest with the tying run on third in the eighth inning and retired the side in order in the ninth to earn the save.

McKinney 4, Highland Park 1: At Scotland Yard in Highland Park, McKinney scored three runs in the top of the tenth without a hit as it won on the road.
With the score tied 1-1 in the tenth, Jose Salazar walked and Brandon Glover was hit by a pitch. Trey Rachal�s bunt was thrown away allowing, Salazar and Glover to score. It was Highland Park�s fourth error of the game. Rachal stole third and scored on Jeff Tebeau�s sacrifice fly to cap the scoring.
Jake Arrieta, Brett Allar, William Delage and winning pitcher Randy Black limited Highland Park to six hits as the Marshals (1-1) evened their record. Scott Gaffney had three of McKinney�s seven hits.
Casey Bond�s RBI double in the sixth produced the first run of the game. Dale Hall and Drew Holder had two hits apiece for the Blue Sox (0-2), which lost in extra innings for the second consecutive night.

Graham 7, Mineral Wells 2: At Steer Stadium in Graham, the Steers scored six runs in the seventh and eighth innings to post their first win of the season.
Dustin Martin was the offensive hero for Graham, going 3-for-3 with a pair of RBIs. Jess Buenger added a pair of hits as the Steers touched up the Mineral Wells bullpen after starter Jos Miller allowed only one run in six innings.
Graham (1-1) reliever Jason Grace picked up the win, while Chuckie Platt got the final five outs to earn the save.
Mineral Wells (1-3) dropped its third in a row. Parker Dalton had two the Steam�s eight hits.
