The Texas Collegiate League completed a successful tryout camp for players vying to earn a chance to participate in the prestigious summer league.  All nine TCL teams attended to observe the talent of 67 players from around the country that came out to

High School to prove their talent in front of the coaches and personnel.The TCL tryout camp is used to fill short-term roster spots for the nine TCL teams in 2007. Teams fill these roster spots until fulltime players participating in the NCAA Division I Baseball Tournament report. These roster spots will be for a minimum of five days and could last for as much as several weeks.  All fulltime roster positions in the Texas Collegiate League have been filled for 2007.After the two-hour long workout, the TCL conducted the tryout camp draft.  The newly formed Brazos Valley Bombers were awarded the first pick because of the 2007 season being their inaugural year.  From there on, the draft order consisted of the team with the worst regular season record to the best.Of the 67 players that participated in the tryouts, 17 players were chosen to join a TCL team.
