Two Texas Collegiate League alumni have been awarded to the Minor League Double-A Texas League All-Star game.  Infielder German Duran (Coppell Copperheads ‘04) from the Frisco Roughriders and pitcher Josh Geer (McKinney Marshals ‘04) from the San Antonio Missions will represent the South Division at the All-star game.Duran, who will start at second base, is second in the Texas League in batting (.318) and third in home runs (12). He is tied for the team lead with 14 doubles and 34 RBI while slugging a team-best .564. Duran also leads the team in runs with 45.  Duran will also participate in the Coastal Bend Chevy Dealers home run derby.  During the 2004 summer with the TCL’s Copperheads, Duran hit .290 with five home runs and 34 RBI.Geer, who was the first player in the league to win seven games this season, has tallied a 7-4 record with a 3.71 ERA and 56 strikeouts in 13 starts.  The Rice Owl product leads a staff that has the third-best ERA in the Texas League and leads the league in strikeouts.  With the Marshals in the 2004 summer, Geer was 3-3 with a 3.00 ERA.The Texas League Double-A All-Star game festivities will begin at 6 p.m. on Tuesday with the.
