“Rain, rain, go away…” was the tune that universities and colleges around the nation were singing this past week. Actually some, including the MLB’s Cleveland Indians, are asking themselves, “Why is there a snow blizzard in April?” Teams are now trying to reshuffle and reschedule their games that were cancelled due to inclement weather and attempting to get their squads back on the field.But, through all the lightning, soggy turf and even snow, there were still stand-out performances by Texas Collegiate League players this week. Overall, his 18 appearances rank in the Big 12’s top ten and in 30 innings pitched in 2007, Conaway has 44 strikeouts, the most among a reliever and tied for third best on the staff.
