The Strykers Add Trio of Arkansas Freshmen

Three former high school All-State selections look to make an impact in the TCL

The Woodlands Strykers are excited to announce the signings of three new players from the state of Arkansas. These players include Logan Clarke, a left-handed pitcher from University of Central Arkansas, his teammate Josh Russell, a catcher, and Garrett Huff, a shortstop from Arkansas State. The three Arkansas products come to the Strykers after completing their freshman year of eligibility.

Logan Clark, the left-handed pitcher from Central Arkansas completed his first year at the college ranks with limited playing time, only registering two-thirds of an inning pitched. The three time All-State selection, whose father Chris was drafted by the Florida Marlins of the MLB, has baseball in his blood and will look to capitalize on his time with the Strykers and exhibit his talent.

Redshirt freshman Josh Russell will also be joining the Strykers from Central Arkansas. Russell originally hails from Marion, AR but played his high school ball in Memphis, TN where he was a one-time All-State selection and 2013 state champion.

Freshman Garrett Huff, a shortstop for Arkansas State, comes to the Strykers from Genoa, AR. His senior year at Genoa Central High School in Arkansas was a historic one for the school in which he broke the schools steals record and single season hits record. Huff registered a career batting average of .495 for Genoa and was a four time All-State selection to go along with a 2014 class 3A state championship.

All three players will look to make significant contributions to the Strykers in the upcoming season as the team looks to make strides in the TCL.
