With his team trailing 4-3 in the bottom of the eighth inning, Tomcat’s catcher Nick DeSantiago blasted a three-run home run to give the Tomcats their first lead of the night. Closer Stephen Tomblee came on in the ninth inning to pick up his league-leading eighth save as the Tomcats won the ballgame 6-4. The Tomcats improved to 11-10 as the Pump Jacks fell to 12-9. The Tomcats and Pump Jacks will face each other again tomorrow night in game two of the series at Veterans Memorial Park in Weimar starting at 7:05pm.
