The Texas Tomcats were able to come up with a run in the bottom of the 11th inning on Tuesday night to pull out a walk-off win over the North Texas Copperheads by a final score of 7-6.  After Collin Hetzler led off the inning with a walk, Wes Mercurio laid a perfect bunt down the third base line.  Copperheads third baseman Garrett Autry came in and tried to get the speedy Mercurio at first base, but the thow was not in time as it sailed over the head of the first baseman and on into right field.  Hetzler never stopped running and scored all the way from first on the play to give the Tomcats a walk-off win.  The error was the Copperheads fifth of the ballgame.  Hetzler also delivered his first homerun of the summer, a solo shot to right field to tie the game at 5-5 in the 5th inning.  The Copperheads big hit of the game was a three-run homerun by Drew Harrison in the 5th inning as well.  Harrison picked up the loss in his first appearance on the mound for the Copperheads this summer as he came on to pitch in the 11th inning.  Justin Thomas picked up the win in relief for the Tomcats to move his record to 2-1.  The Tomcats improved to 21-21 on the season as the Copperheads fell to 11-27.  The Tomcats will host the East Texas Pump Jacks on Wednesday night.  It will be Active and Retired Military Night at the park.  All service men and women will get in for free.  Come help the Tomcats honor our troops on Wednesday night for a game starting at 7:05pm.
