College Station/Bryan, TX – July 9, 2018 – The Texarkana Twins fell in the series finale to the Brazos Valley Bombers at Travis Field, 7-1, their third loss in a row. The Bombers took the early lead over the Twins following a Robin Adames solo home run in the second inning. The Bombers would then add a pair in the 3rd inning to give them a 3-0 lead. In the 4th inning, TCL home run leader Christian Sepulveda hit his 7th home run of the season, along with two other Bomber RBI hits, put the Twins in a 6-0 deficit. The Twins would get on the board in the 6th inning, as Matt McDonald drove in Hunter Southerland with an RBI triple to cut the lead to 6-1. The final run of the night came when the Bombers scored an insurance run in the 8th inning, to give the home team a 7-1 lead, which ended up being the final. The Twins now head back to Texarkana for four games against the Acadiana Cane Cutters at George Dobson Field with a two game series starting tomorrow before the club enjoys an off day.
