John Dao continued his hitting rampage in style as he launched a game-winning homerun in the 11th to keep the Roughnecks undefeated on the season.  Chase Anderson punched out four Outlaws to bump his league leading strikeout count to 13.  WICHITA FALLS 3, DENTON 2John Dao belted a solo, walk-off homer with one out in the bottom of the 11th inning to lead the Wichita Falls Roughnecks to a 2-1 victory against the Denton Outlaws Sunday night at Hoskins Field.  The win pushed the Roughnecks to a perfect 4-0 on the young Texas Collegiate League season, while the Outlaws fell to 2-3 on the year.  The home run for Dao (Fort Worth, TX/Northeast Texas CC) was his first of the season and the second of the year for the Roughnecks.  It came on a 1-2 pitch from Denton’s Billy Concannon (Dallas, TX/Georgetown), who fell to 1-1 with the loss.  Wichita Falls’ lefty Robert Young (Cleburne, TX/Dartmouth) got the win, throwing five innings in relief.  Young struckout five and scattered four hits.  Denton got it’s only run in the third when Kevin Croft (Lake Jackson, TX/Stephen F.Austin) reached on a single and advanced to second on a throwing erron.  Croft scored on another throwing error with two out.  Wichita Falls tied the game in the seventh as Ryan Reidel (Plano, TX/Texas-Tyler) led off the inning with a homer to left center, the Roughnecks’ first four-bagger of the season.  Roughneck starter Chase Anderson tallied four strikeouts to up his league-leading total to 13.WEATHERFORD 8, MINERAL WELLS 0The Weatherford Wranglers scored early and often as they dominated the Mineral Wells Steam by a score of 8-0 Sunday night at Roger Williams Ballpark.  Mineral Wells, who goes to 1-4 with the loss, once again struggled to move base runners around all night as they failed to score a run for the second time in three games. The Steam put up nine hits in the game but stranded 12 runners on base. Adam Witek, Stephen Halford and Anthony Moore each collected two hits on the night in a losing effort.  Weatherford starter John Kibler won his first game of the year after pitching five innings of three-hit ball. Relievers Zach Harwood and Maurice Bankston pitched the final four innings and kept the shutout intact.  Mineral Wells started right-hander Tyson Bagley on the mound. Bagley went three-and-one-third innings, giving up six hit and four runs, three of which were earned. Ryan Goins relieved Bagley and finished the game for the Mineral Wells, giving up four runs and striking out five in the process.MCKINNEY 7, DUNCANVILLE 4The McKinney Marshals collected their fourth strait win as they beat the Duncanville Deputies 7-4.  Mark McCain went 6 1/3 innings allowing 1 run on 4 hits with 3 walks and 3 strikeouts. McKinney was led by Tyler Hohman who went 5 for 5 and 2 RBI’s. McKinney allowed 3 runs in the seventh but only 1 was earned the other 2 scored on a dropped pop ball. Jimmy Paviele went to 0-1 while McCain bumped his record to 2-0.COLLEYVILLE 7, BRAZOS VALLEY 1The sun was out for a gorgeous Sunday afternoon at Brazos Valley Bank Ballpark. The LoneStars delivered a 7-1 defeat to the Bombers to close out Brazos Valley’s first-ever homestand.The LoneStars jumped out to a 2-0 lead in the second inning and never looked back. They added a run in the fourth and three runs in the fifth to chase Bombers starter Clint Helms. In his second appearance of the season, Helms struggled with his control, walking five in 4.2 innings.With the Bombers bullpen undermanned because of the NCAA playoffs, head coach Kevin Moulder looked to get the most of an increasingly versatile roster. Lefty Tyler Davis closed out the fifth and pitched a scoreless sixth and seventh before handing the ball over to a pair of position players. Shortstop Ryan Weber threw a scoreless eighth, and first baseman Will Basom gave up a pair of hits and a run in the ninth.The Bombers managed 10 hits to Colleyville’s 9, but had less success pushing runners across the plate. Joseph Towns drove in Ryan Weber with a single in the sixth inning for the team’s only run. Towns went 2-for-4 on the afternoon, his third two-hit outing in four games. Mark McGonigle had a breakout performance, going 3-for-4 with a double. He also threw out Cameron Monger at the plate with a perfectly delivered strike from right field in the third inning.
